Your site name is weird. Where does it come from?
Dr. Jin: A ridiculous South Korean TV drama from 2012. Features time travel, primitive brain surgery involving chisels, and laudable levels of overacting.
Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman: A long-running American TV series from the 90s. Features a prim (but fierce) lady doctor and a whole lot of frontier shit.
I created this blog so I could have a place to rant about music, TV shows, movies and all the other media nonsense I'm consuming. So why not choose a silly name inspired by a couple of programs from two of my favorite TV-producing countries?
Who the hell are you?
I'm a thirtysomething human female—you can call me Doctor J. I live in New York City and spent way too much of my young life gorging on TV, music videos and movies. Probably my adult life too. Don't send help, I'm busy watching something.
What's the best movie snack?
I'm partial to Sour Patch Kids and popcorn, but I'm willing to listen if you have other suggestions.
